Inside the Heartbeat of Epic Fun

Philanthropy and our Austin community drive so much of what we do at Epic Fun. It has always been the desire of our hearts as owners to do more than provide a family-friendly activity center for the sole purpose of personal gain. With family clearly the passion of our hearts, creating a financial means to serve families who are faced with illness, loss, and life circumstances that none of us would have imagined for ourselves is at the core of who we are and why we actively seek out organizations who align with the passion of those we desire to serve.

Last month, Epic Fun had an extremely special morning hosting, Zailey, Zachary, and Khrystina, three siblings whom Partnerships for Children are working diligently to help reunite with a Mom and Dad they can call their forever family. Michelle Vargas CBS Austin and Lindsay Liepman KXXV, collaborated to capture the heart and spirit of these sweet kids to share with the Austin community as they had an epic morning of play and bonding. Their Forever Families stories aired last week on CBS Austin. If you missed the segment or would be willing to share this story with your family and friends please follow the link to meet them: ForeverFamilies: Zailey, Zachary, and Krhyrstina No doubt you will be just as touched, as we were to learn more about these angels. Please help them find theMom and Dad they are praying for.

Additional partnerships are developing as we learn about and meet organizations like Partnerships for Children. Recently, Stacy joined Heroes for Children as a board member. In September Epic Fun will close for one day to welcome and gift a free day of play to Heroes for Children. "Heroes forChildren advocates for and provides financial and social assistance to families with children (0-22 yrs of age) battling cancer.”

Jenna Blue, one of our very own Party Captains introduced our staff to Hands,Hearts, and Feet for DR. This is another organization we are thrilled to partner with. On Friday, May 3rd we will host Trivia Night/Kids Fun Night at7:00 p.m. Follow the link for event details to support the mission and join in on the fun. Epic Funs’ hosting of this event will provide several water filters for children in theDominican Republic.

If you are aware of an organization that may align with our philanthropic passion, please reach out to help make the introduction. Please email Stacy at

EpicFun has been working hard to help spread the word about our family entertainment center. Many of our first-time guests share they aren’t aware of our 30,000 sq.ft facility as we are nestled behind the beautiful trees of Oak Hill Plaza, so we may not be as visible to our community. If you receive the Community Impact Newspaper in your mailbox this month, be sure to check out the front page of the Impact Deal section!
